This is the type of Darjeeling tea that is the main product of all the tea estates in Darjeeling. They use the traditional method for production , also known as the “orthodox “ method that includes withering , rolling , full oxidation or fermentation , drying and sorting .

GREEN TEA

GREEN TEA

Green Tea is slightly processed and the oxidation process is halted by either steaming or firing the leaves. They are then rolled and dried . As the tea is unoxidized, the tea contains antioxidants and polyphenols. This tea has a sweet vegetal flavour and herbal aroma.

This tea is semi- oxidized tea and goes through the same process as black tea . It is lighter and less astringent than most black tea and can have a varied aroma that is sweet and fruity or woodsy and rich with hints of honey .

White tea is the most prized and delicate tea made from new growth buds and young leaves. After plucking the leaves are simply withered and dried – Not oxidized at all and so it retains the natural antioxidants and has very less caffeine content .
